Review on Fromm Four Star Surf Turf Food by Josh Payton

The experts agree. Edible

My kitten is sick and needs to gain weight. Well, unfortunately, I'm pretty much an expert on strategies for getting an anorexic cat to eat. Although he eats mostly canned food, he also eats some Fromm's Game Bird kibble. As a brilliant cat food expert, I looked at the calories per serving of Fromm's other dry foods to see if I could increase the calorie content a little more. Surf and Turf was the highest calorie, so I bought a small bag. This food comes in kibble, which is fairly small compared to other varieties (about 1/8 inch in diameter, similar to BB pellets). The sick cat ate quite a bit, and the two healthy cats didn't talk enthusiastically about her either. You might think it doesn't really matter because cats inhale food rather than chew it (mine at least) so they might not like the taste and/or smell. Anyway, I've reverted to the Game Bird formula and everyone seems happier. Fromm's makes very high quality grain free products, both canned and dry, which I highly recommend. Surf and turf might be tastier for your cats, so I don't want to put anyone off. It just didn't work for my small herd.
