I got this to carry both my Garmin DriveSmart GPS and my Escort 360c speed camera detector. There was a lot of car break-ins in the area and I wanted to get my devices in and out with ease and also protect my electronics. The detector and garage door opener fit on top and are held in place by a zippered mesh cover. However, the DriveSmart GPS navigator conveniently fits in a dedicated pocket. It has fallen out before (luckily I caught it before it hit the tiled floor). I plan on taking the black foam, trimming it to fit in the pocket under the GPS, and then gluing it in place so the elastic band really holds the Garmin in place. It's well padded but too big to be effective. .
