I play racquetball almost every morning and suffer from racquetball (tennis) elbows. I've used smaller bands in the past and they work quite well. This orthosis covers a larger area and offers more support. It also restricts movement more than smaller bands, which seems to protect me from elbow injuries more effectively. However, the limited mobility also affects my rocking movements. Part of the trick with these braces is figuring out the best way to wear them. I can put it on my arm with straps around the inside of the elbow. The hard fabric of the orthosis is on the outside of the elbow and the gap between the two straps is on the inside. When I rotate the brace 180 degrees around my arm, the gap between the straps is on the outside of my elbow and allows my arm to bend more easily. I may lose some support when doing this, but it's a more comfortable experience.
