Maybe it's just the brand of tablet I was using.
My cable did not allow data transfer. When I connected my tablet to a DJI controller with this cable, it only charged my controller. I used the super short cable provided by DJI to open the app on the tablet. So I had to use a different cable to use my tablet with my DJI controller.
