I bought this controller because the last controller I bought wore out pretty quickly. Although I rarely used my previous one (which I bought at WalMart for just a little less than this one), the buttons were so worn that you had to press them very hard to get them to work. The retractable coil then caused the controller to stop working, causing my controller to cycle on and off. So I bought this because I wanted a reliable and well made product. These Xbox controls are well done. The buttons make a very solid impression. I can't believe it actually works when I click the buttons. I love playing Madden on PC. Previously, I couldn't get a good field goal or punt due to sticky buttons. Now I can. Installation was easy. I plugged it into my computer and it immediately installed the necessary drivers automatically. I have a couple of complaints: 1) When I connect to Madden, the configuration is disabled. I knew that as of this control I have A,B,X,Y instead of 1,2,3,4. This is not a problem. It doesn't bother me at all. I could get used to that. But the problem I have is that the analog sticks are not configured for this game at all. On my other console, I was able to use the right analog as a truck joystick. Analog sticks are also used to support ringtones and hot routes to recipients. Various commands required you to push the analog stick in a specific direction. I can't do it now. There is no option to customize this. Basically, the launch and select buttons are swapped with the analog sticks. So when I push down on the analog sticks (I don't mean down, I push in like a button) they act as a trigger and selection. I need to use launch and select buttons instead of analog sticks and it doesn't work for Madden. You also can't change startup or choose configurations. So it kind of spoils the crazy game. I'm not sure if this is an insanity issue or a controller issue. 2) When playing Mike Tyson Punch on a Nintendo emulator, the navigation bar has a major problem moving punches. So I'm not 100% satisfied with the maneuverability of the joystick. The way it was designed, it doesn't offer one-way direction of travel. But overall I'm happy with this controller. I mainly use it for Nintendo emulator games and only need 2 buttons for that. And I think this controller will last a lot longer than my previous one. It didn't cost much either.
