Fun Multi-Purpose Radio & Backup Power

Overall: This little radio looks solid and is packed with features you might not think you need, until the rare day you actually do to need. Don't get me wrong about practicality. The side of this radio is that it picks up AM/FM frequencies and the weather perfectly, filling a niche that has been left behind now that "boomboxes" are no longer a staple of every home (like they were in the '90s). Will I use all other features daily? Some daily, some weekly, some seldom and some maybe never - this is how I split my review into these sections: Daily - Radio AM/FM/Wx: Sometimes it's better to have a dedicated radio to chat with. than listening to music and weather on the phone. Weekly USB Charger: Nice to charge the phone while the radio does its job Charge your phone and ham radio without depending on the power supply. Setting the light to the motion sensor resulted in the light appearing to come on randomly and not too reliably. I think the use case for this is to leave it where you need the light when entering/approaching, but I really don't think the performance/reliability lends itself to that use case. Would I take it in a car for a hike? Of course. Would I take it with me on a hike? Not really. Most features aren't worth the extra weight. Do I ever need solar panels or a crank? I hope not but it's great to have them a few times in my life when I need them. kid friendly? Yes. It is such a fascinating device for young children to explore and learn.
