I got my lip pierced and use a standard flat back Libre piercing to measure 10mm length to start. But it was too long and caught my tooth while chewing so I ordered them in 8mm and 6mm length and when I got them I didn't know they have convex backs and I love them great there I can't once say that they are there. Also, I don't use the original ball. and I've found internal threat librets and it's a lot better than trying to wrestle the ball to line up the hole in the ball and the internally threaded libret is like a guide to putting it on.
