I used to have Pur water filters and liked them. I recently moved house and couldn't remove the filter from the faucet. It wouldn't come off and when I tried to take it off it broke. never mind I benefited a lot from that. I would just buy a new one, I thought. So I bought a new one. Which is admittedly different than what I had before. It arrived today and I immediately took it out of the box and attached it to my faucet. The first thing I noticed was that the adapters that came with it are made of plastic and not metal. Good. No big deal, right? Then I noticed that the filter itself is unthreaded. It "clicks" in and just has a weird rubber washer controlled by two plastic knobs to attach it to the faucet. Um, weird. But shouldn't be a problem. Until I turned on the water. The connection just isn't tight. The plastic adapter is no problem. But the filter itself is weak, and the seal is unreliable. I also noticed that the filter indicator only lights up sporadically. Not sure if it's just bad design, crappy details or something else. But this filter isn't as good as some of their other models. I am returning it for a refund and have already ordered a model that looks more like the other one I had.
