My home Internet has a speed of 200 megabits per second (mb/s), however the cable that is laid in the wall is an old twisted pair cable that cannot transfer more than 100 mb/s. Because the data speed on the blocks is claimed to be 300 mb / s, I decided to purchase these blocks in the belief that they will increase the speed at which power is sent through the grid. However, I was dissatisfied to find that even when connected into a single outlet, they did not provide speeds of greater than 100 megabits per second. Even after the plug in each room was removed, there was a noticeable slowdown in the internet connection. I was forced to turn around because I was only getting 100 megabits per second without them.
