Review on 🔮 Chemex Half Moon Filter - 100 Count by Amy Silakos

5 stars for filters BUT - I stopped buying them! I've spent a lot of money on them over the years. Ignore the "reviews" from people who can't figure out how to fold them or just don't want to fold them blah blah. Thing is, it's easy to fold, does the job perfectly, and makes a fantastic cup of coffee. I finally couldn't justify buying them anymore - they are so expensive! And I used several a day. sooo I finally bought a reusable filter (about $15) that will last for years. The reusable metal filter is not Chemex, and being such a coffee snob I have neglected such a filter for years. Also, I was intrigued by the idea that I need a special Chemex paper to filter out "oils" or something like that. Well I finally cracked up a few months ago when I ran out of these filters and came back here to redeem them and it was over $20 a box. It just got ridiculous. Bought a reusable metal filter. They are sold by a few vendors here at Revain and although they say they won't fit a small 3 cup Chemex they fit perfectly. The result: My coffee, which was already VERY VERY GOOD (I'm a total coffee drinker and a snob!), is EVEN BETTER! So. I LOVE my Chemex pot and still use it but no longer with those expensive paper filters. For me this will be a huge time saver. Plus, I guess I saved some trees! :)
