Honestly, I like everything about this product. It more or less met my expectations in terms of hardware quality, which is definitely cheap material reflected by the price tag. But since that’s exactly what I expected (and was looking for), I’m not bothered by it other than I was worried about breaking it during assembly. (Which I did not.)It came with instructions that were perfectly easy to follow; I assembled it myself on my bed in about half an hour while I watched TV. Definitely be very gentle and patient while you assemble it, though — do NOT try to force the pegs through the slats. I’d recommend easing them together as gently as you can. Be warned as the board edges are a little rough and could hurt your hands as you fit pieces together.I picked this one because I was looking for desktop bookshelves that I could fit my jewelry stand on top of. I’d measured the base carefully and according to this listing’s item dimensions, it would just barely fit between the ends on the double drawer shelf. I’m so happy that this is exactly what happened! It’s very snug; I had to lower the stand directly down onto the shelf and gently let it slip into place, but it’s by no means wedged in; I can lift it back out again with no resistance at all.I feel so much less cluttered, it’s terribly cute, and I’m proud to have done the handiwork myself.
