Due to the layout of my apartment, it was not possible to run a cable line to where I wanted to place the TV. I'd have to rip up the carpet and run the cable underneath. So I tried this HDMI extender to cross the room. It was line of sight at 8ft, and while the image was sharp, it was too choppy at 1080p due to the latency. I've tried resetting the expander (receiver and transmitter), TV, and cable box in a different order in case the buffers were full or there were hangs, but nothing worked. Chop was giving me a headache after looking at it for 30 minutes, so I had to turn it off and use a different brand (which works great in the same environment). I'm not sure why they call it an HDMI extender when it can't support 1080p at a decent refresh rate at 8ft.
