I don't know why the "lid" is multi-piece, but it doesn't have to be. For some reason the cap is in two parts. There is an o-ring that makes contact with the *DEEP* bottle - over time I see this leak. This design allows the "tip" to rotate, but why not just rotate the bottle? The bottle is symmetrical, so there's no benefit to being able to rotate the tip. My purchase turned out to be defective - something was clogging the supply channel, so brake fluid was not supplied on demand. The valve itself is simple and not clogged. Poor quality control.
