Review on Satechi USB 3.0 Premium Aluminum Hub with 7 Data Ports and 3 Charging Ports - 10 Port (White Trim) by Mike Modesto

So I read the review on Macnn.com and thought it might be a good product. I was wrong. Powered ports feed only. So this is NOT a 10-port hub, it's a 7-port hub with charging station. Powered ports don't allow data transfer from the hub to the computer, so it was a waste of time. I have gaming peripherals that do NOT work with the hub. I have Logitech G510, G13 and G700s. All of these peripherals will not work through the hub. There is not enough energy to power these items. So when I boot up the computer and try to log in, I can't type anything, so I can't log in. I connected my Apple lightning cable to connect iPhone and iPad and even that didn't transfer the data. Both the iPhone and iPad just stood there and wouldn't connect. I have two Seagate external hard drives connected to a hub, but both hard drives have their own power supplies. So it looks like they will work. I would not recommend this product to anyone as I can only use 2 ports out of 7 for data transfer. I went back to my old Belkin 7 port USB hub and it works great.
