First the advantages. i love the vest I love bright colors. I love the material. I didn't want to spend $100 on Nathan's vest. I tried to be a bit more minimalist as this company's similar vest has 2 water bottles. I bought one with one hoping I will. be able to use the extra space in your carry-on instead of carrying a fanny pack. It's not all in one, which is what I wanted or needed. #1. Water bottle is junk. It takes up more space than the bag allows. So when it's not empty, it sticks out of your vest pocket. It also squirts, but I figured that was the lesser of two evils as I've never had good luck with hydration packs that don't leak everywhere. #2. The pockets aren't big enough for everything I was wearing and I had to laugh when they noted in their description that the pocket on the right would hold a cell phone. Not if you don't have a flip phone. #3 I felt the large areas (back of the vest) didn't provide the security I was looking for. Although the front of the vest has velcro and a zipper on one side, neither is practical enough to hold anything other than keys and energy gels. The backpack at the back doesn't offer anything to close, and the longer one you put the liquid back in doesn't have a layer between the vest and the seams, so whatever you put in there is soaked in sweat. I really didn't want to spend $100 on a vest, but I think if you take these cheaper routes you get what you pay for.
