Review on SmokePing by Jacob Leon

This software does what it says, very good for monitoring latencies in any region where you are using this type VPN service from PIA or ExpressVPN (or other providers). You can get all types stats that matter like ping times between servers/locations etc., so its easy enough even if your not used with networking terms :) I would love more customization options but overall nothing too big as they've done well keeping up already - pretty solid product! We use smokeping primarily inside our colo datacentre at work when troubleshooting issues internally within an office LAN environment across countries which means we have quite some distances covered here ;) Easy to use, it's free! It has so many features that you can get lost in them all. I like being able to see how long it takes for my devices to respond. I have noticed that when there are high levels of latency, it's hard to get my computer to respond. I think this could be improved by adding more options to view latency. I would recommend smokeping to anyone looking for a simple way to monitor network latency. I am using it to troubleshoot issues with our network and other computers.
