Recently refurbished fridge after 10 years of trouble free compressor service. Since it was still under warranty I just paid for the labor and it became my garage fridge as I had already bought a new one. Would have. The repair took forever to get the part. I decided to buy this temperature gauge after looking at a few gauges. The factory setting of my fridge after the repair was 37 degrees in the fridge and 0 degrees in the freezer. It seems to hold up vibrations well, with a little wobble on either side, but not too bad in a warm garage. I hope winter doesn't kill it because I've heard freon doesn't like to run too cold. Find out. In any case, I chose this over Wi-Fi, as though I'd find that Wi-Fi isn't as reliable on other components I have around the house. I also quickly discovered that the base is magnetic and sticks well to the fridge, just not the stainless steel part. So I put it to the side. Installation was very easy. AAA in the base and AA in the remote controls. One day they found each other without any problems. The channels are already set up on the remote controls. It's day 4 or works then and so far so good. hope they hold up.
