These tapes have markings every 1/8 inch. This makes it a good choice for people who don't have much experience reading roulette. Carpenter, or if you just look at a ruler and automatically know what the markings mean, this tape measure is just annoying. This is because the markers take up so much space that the actual markers are difficult to see. So it can actually slow it down. It just depends on how much help you need to decipher the markings.
