If you want to do the job properly, you have to pull the motor. It's simpler than you think. Start in the center and work your way outwards. Tighten the nuts on the bolt in two steps. The gasket should fit perfectly on the flywheel and harmonic balancer. Gasket not installed correctly. Attempting to do this work with the engine running will make the problem worse. If you are a certified repairer doing this work on an engine in a car, shame on you. So let's fast forward to today. My oil pan is absolutely perfect. Not a single drop or seep of oil. If I had to do it again, I would go the same way. I like Moroso more and more every time I use their products.
