I used this product to ride a bike about 100 miles for a month, mainly on paved roads. I then took my bikes on a longer freeway trip and the element didn't work. I encountered a small bump and the pin let the clasp open. There was too much free space in the lever that opens or closes the front. This dropped the front of my bike and caused the front wheel to drag across the road. I'd happily return it for my money, but I'm out of the return window. I will never use this item again and recommend you not to buy it.
