Review on Enhanced CCD Color Mirror Image Car Rear View Backup Camera for Mazda 6 and Mazda RX-8 by Ian Iknokinok

Pretty easy setup for the RX8. I had to remove the stock headlight and file the block a bit to get it to size. I soldered the LED wiring to the original number plate light wires and routed the camera power wires behind the bumper through the frame into the trunk to connect to the left reversing light. The camera is activated when reverse gear is engaged and provides a video signal to switch on the dashboard monitor. The rails are tight and too narrow for the RX8 by about 1.5 feet on each side. Can be misleading so be sure to look out the window or use your side mirrors!
