Synchronizes and works great, unlike some 3rd party Wii controllers this one even has a built in Motion Plus part (required for Wii U and specific Games on an old Wii console). Note, however, that this *IS* a third-party controller, so not everything is 100% specs. For example, I noticed that the hand cursor moves more sensitively than a real Nintendo Wii controller when hovering over the screen. It's not a big deal, but if you're used to authenticity, you might find that you have to relearn muscle memory moves when using this. There is no difference for games that require button presses (Brawl, Donkey Kong, etc) what I bought it for (multiplayer games that don't require hover). For me it's perfect but minus one star because it doesn't offer the same driving experience as the Nintendo.
