Review on LensCoat Hoodie Neoprene Protection LCH2XLBK by Chad Gravely

The hard drive tray I received is white not black as shown in the product photos. Only the black insert looks much better than the bright white one. The lens cap is a bit tight and I have to put it on differently: detach the lens hood, stretch it and put it over the lens hood, put the lens back into the lens hood (upside down), climb into the lens hood, tighten the hood screw and fold the slightly folded lens cap around the aperture. It would be better to hold on to the bottom to expose the hood screw like lens manufacturers do with their OEM lens cap. This takes significantly longer than putting on the manufacturer's lens cap. On a positive note, the hoodie stays in place even when the lens hood is not attached to the lens, which can be the case if you want to leave a large lens in your carry-on. It offers good protection for the front element and looks good with the same patterned lens cap. Hopefully it will be a little easier to put on after a few stretches and use.
