**Update** after my check Customer service contacted me and said I received a defective monitor and they offered to replace it or refund our money but let us keep the monitor anyway. As I mentioned one monitor (even a broken one) has sound so we can hear when our 1.5 year old wakes up. Which is really the most important part. So we kept the failed monitor and received a full refund. That's exceptional customer service. I have never received an offer from any company and am very impressed! I will definitely try this monitor! I hope mine was just an accident and yours is better. But if not, they will do it right! This product is fine. A little disappointed with the price. My daughter broke our last one so we needed a replacement fast. The only feature that mattered to me was the remote tilt (moving the camera remotely rather than manually), this one does that, but when we tilted it down to cover the full view of the crib, the ground cut off. That was the first disappointment. Next thing was that the image was a bit grainy/blurry. I expected it to be better based on some of the reviews, but that's clear enough. Just not as clear as the previous picture. Also, the camera seems to be picking up more background noise than in the previous shot. Which doesn't bother me too much because I sleep with a fan, because my own background noise drowns it out. And the sound also seems to be a kind of echo, strange but beautiful. Finally, my final complaint is that no sound plays when the screen is dimmed (a power saving mode that turns on automatically after about a minute). I would prefer the noise bar to be visible even when the monitor is dimmed. .Overall the camera/monitor does what it is supposed to, but there are many features that I think would be better for a $100+ monitor. I wouldn't buy it again, I'd rather take the risk and buy a cheaper monitor to offer the same quality. In my opinion it would be better for a $100 monitor.
