Edge guard becomes loose

I have had my paddle for 4 months now. I am in a league and play once a week at most. Since I paid so much in this paddle I invested in edge protector tape and a neoprene cover and pickleball bag. After 1 month I noticed a slight wiggle to the edge guard. Month 4 it is completely loose. Normally I wouldn’t care but since this paddle is $220 this is unacceptable. These paddles should last at least 6 Months to a year. Switching to Selkirk vanguard
