As fast as I can imagine and up to date by 2021?

Well this is the newest phone I've had in years. I have almost ten years of experience with Sony and Blackberry phones and have never deviated from this practice. I have to say that it was one of the best phones I've bought, regardless of the price, to date, and only the Sony Z ultra came close to its time a few years ago. As this is a 2 year old phone some would suspect it lacks some features or cutting edge technology and there are probably a few things on the market that this phone doesn't have but as far as basic usability goes this thing works very good me. I noticed few features, mostly not detracting from my experience but noticeable compared to previous phones. Firstly I've noticed that Android is focusing more on the one button (do everything) design of IOS and I'm a little annoyed that this is something they are really promoting and no longer trying to do a 3 button Design to support layout as seen with some apps just don't like it and that's a problem when trying to use the keyboard. a fingerprint scanner is built in, which has its pros and cons, but I've found that the on-screen scanner doesn't always work that well on my old Sony phones. While this is an impressive piece of technology and there are advantages compared to the side-mounted button, I had more issues and inconsistent scans overall. It also doesn't help that the screen is so glossy that trying to enter a password pattern gets sticky and annoying at times. Apart from the negative aspects. I think what impresses me the most is how black the screen is and how vivid the colors are compared to my previous Sony screens. Although Sony screens sometimes had better overall resolution, they never had the maximum black level that this phone can reproduce. While this may not come as a surprise to those using the new phones, for me it was a very welcome improvement and I'm sure many people will appreciate how good the screen is for the price. I've used a recent iPhone and a Xiomi phone, but I really can't say they looked better, and certainly not with a silly notch or camera hole in the screen. Ah, forgot to mention. no notch or hole in the screen! I'm sure this is one of the few big selling points for people still interested in this phone and others like Sony's lineup, but yeah it's refreshing not to have such terrible design issues. In fact, the lack of these issues is far more exciting compared to any bonus you can get from other companies that have chosen to go down this route. So far I've used the pop-up selfie camera maybe 20-30 times and accidentally activated a handful and still no issues with its shutter release and camera quality. The engine sound has changed a bit, which is noticeable, but as long as it doesn't get stuck in the up position I don't care if it breaks. The main rear camera system works perfectly for my needs, and the camera app is as good as I need it to be, mixing a bit of the standard IOS interface with some of the extras you'd expect from Android. I think a dedicated camera button in the bottom right corner would be nice given the thin bezels. However, using the sound button as a grip button works well as long as you remember to position your hand correctly. With it you can take some good photos with pretty fast action. So the big question remains. Will it be a few more years before you need to upgrade? I really would hope so. I don't see 4k video becoming standard enough to worry it might cause storage and internet speed issues and the 5g service when I get it seems fast enough with the current service handling on the phone be. It would be nice if there was a way to easily toggle 5G on and off so 4G connects faster, but maybe in 2-3 years in big cities that won't be a problem anymore. So yeah, I think of course it's still safe to buy this phone with its 2019 tech in 2021-2022 if it can be bought for around $500. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! PS - YES THIS IS A VERY NICE PHONE AND THE PRESENTATION IN THE BOX IS VERY COOL TOO!
