Well I think vacuum bags can be notoriously unreliable because the plastic can be so thin that air can easily leak out somewhere. Unfortunately, these bags really lived up to that reputation. I have to say they look very nice and seem to be well designed. They are perfect for some of my jackets and winter coats. The hanger itself has two hooks so you can pack two jackets/coats in one bag (although I only used it for one coat at a time). They've been sitting in my closet for about a month now and I look at them from time to time. After a few hours you have already stopped sucking and now work like a normal clothes hanger made of a plastic bag. After about a week the second has started to lose suction and is on the way to fully deflating. The other jackets still look good - they're just as flat as when they were first vacuumed. So I would say if you buy these packs be prepared for some of them to fail. If they really work, they'll be great. PS, the free mesh laundry bag is nice to have, but it's a bit rough. You may need to do a few washes first to loosen it up.
