Leveling spring is at 9 o'clock" .on the plastic liner of the bucket. On the Jeep the hole is at 12 o'clock so the new bucket spring needs to be removed. This 'spring' stops the rotation of the plastic bucket and door. When the 'pin' is cut off the new bucket there is some movement/rotation.The old filler neck and plastic bucket gasket must be reused as the new gasket is too thick and will cause the check engine light for the EVAP system to come on.I have chosen not to return this item , as I got too carried away with the project.I would not recommend this product due to improper installation and sealing.The fastener seems good but the fasteners are sin d are not coated with fixatives and must be applied by the installer. The attachment of the housing to the bucket/lid is also poor compared to the original Mopar non-locking gas door. If you are looking for a product that will make you swear while installing, then this is it.
