I bought this straightener because I was looking for something that would eliminate frizz without straightening my hair. I love how my hair still shows texture. This gave me exactly what I was looking for. I used the highest setting as I don't like my hair to look relaxed. I suspect if you have my texture (4b) or softer then the highest settings will give you a very straight iron look. It heats up very quickly and glides easily through my hair. The only complaint about the location of the power and temperature buttons. They are on the handle and I accidentally changed the temperature several times during use. Definitely recommend.
