Review on Craig Frames 7171610BK 30 Inch Finish 825 Inch by Mike Griffin

Okay, that's a very cheap frame. It has a plexiglass lid instead of glass. Here are some general comments I would like to make: Upon arrival, I was surprised at the environmental impact this item left behind. The packaging looks extreme. It's wrapped in lots of cardboard, plastic strapping, plastic wrap on Plexiglas, and duct tape. It was well packaged, yes, but I think it would have arrived in reduced packaging as well. The plexiglass front panel didn't bother me. While the frame looks "wooden," it feels very cheap overall. However, at this price I didn't mind because once my print was framed it looked great. He wouldn't notice much movement on the wall anyway. Fastening material was attached to it in addition to what was needed. In fact, screws are supplied to attach the rear hangers. I've found that all I need are metal nails (not plastic) and they work better than screws. But my guess is that it generally came with mounting hardware. Finally, I was disappointed that the backing was made of regular cardboard. The package could have been complete if an acid-free foam sheet was used instead. I would even pay extra for that. As I expected, there was no matting on this frame. Overall I was happy with this product and would buy it again.
