These are the perfect shorts for relaxing and sleeping. They are thinner than cotton gym shorts but thicker than boxer shorts. As others have mentioned, I went up a size (XL, not large) as I like more room, but if you like shorts that aren't bulky you can get them in your normal size - they are true to size corresponding. The elastic waistband is nice and comfortable. It was a great buy for the price.
