I use it every morning to make my toast. If you live in an RV, a toaster on the counter is very inconvenient as it would take up almost all of the counter space. I was hoping this would work on my gas range. And so it is! With some restrictions. 1) I had to buy a separate diffuser before I could get good toast. I have a HIC heat diffuser and it works fine, but I think that ripped my stove top grill so it might be something else to think about. Without them, my toast was either burnt or just dried out bread. With this, toasting takes about a minute on each side and is very easy and predictable. 2) When—more specifically, WHEN—the crumbs fall, they burn and smell like burnt toast. This probably isn't a big issue outdoors, but it's not the biggest issue in tight spaces. Your toast will continue to "burn" for the full minute it takes to bake the toast, and then it will smell like smoke even as you eat it. I try to avoid it, but sometimes it happens. I LOVE the fact that it folds up and retracts in less than 10 seconds. Got this for a portable toast option and it fits the bill perfectly. Requires a little more tweaking and attention than a regular toaster, but now that I'm familiar with it I'm happy with it! I think my fiancé is still afraid to use it.
