After years of using ugly black tape to cover my laptop's camera, I'm so glad I found this brilliant little device. It's small, thin and simple, just what I was looking for. It doesn't prevent my laptop from shutting down at all. The black color of the webcam cover matches the black frame around my laptop screen. I don't even notice the cover because it mixes so well. Due to its small size, it requires a firm hand and good lighting when applying. On my 16-inch MacBook Pro, I tilted the screen so I could see where the camera was, aligned it, and reattached the cover. The webcam lid opens and closes smoothly. When used correctly, the lid will not close when the lid is open. Doesn't block the camera. Covers the camera completely when closed so that only black can be seen instead of the image. I will order more for my family. Highly recommended!
