This SanDisk CF Type I/II ImageMate USB 2.0 Reader/Writer is a nice little device. I simply remove the compact flash card from the camera, plug it into the ImageMate, plug in the USB cable and shoot without having to transfer data from the camera to the computer or worry about the camera battery dying . I'm using XP SP2 and don't need to install anything. I just plugged it into a USB port and XP found and recognized it. The only reason it gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'd like to plug it directly into the USB port itself (like the Simple Tech BONZAI USB 2.0 card reader, although it uses SD/MMC instead of CF). with the separate (included) USB cable.
