I have been using this type of spoked wheel in my body shop for many years. In my opinion they are essential, a great way to clean small parts of paint, rust and caulking to name a few. Today most cases, covers etc are made of aluminum (and sometimes plastic) and these wheels are too abrasive for that. I believe they make the wheel out of thinner wire but still be careful with the aluminum as they will gouge it out easily. Don't even think about using it on plastic parts. I've also learned through years of use not to press too hard when brushing as the wires will start to snap and make your hands and face look like a porcupine. Also, be very careful not to smack your hand, arm, or anything else unless you want to see what's under your skin (dermabrasion on steroids!), hands, etc. inside. The DeWalt version is as good or even better than any others I've used, no vibration, excessive noise or anything. mike
