Review on πŸ”¨ Stanley 69-122 Wood Handle Scratch Awl: A Reliable Tool for Precise Markings and Crafts by Amanda Castillo

Revainrating 2 out of 5

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA? I do not think so.

On the day I bought it and at the time of writing this article 9/9/16, the product image clearly has a US stamp on the handle, which any sane person would believe misleading into assuming it is the USA - this is the country of origin. Don't be fooled, this tool was made in China. Well I hardly expect a tool like this to be made for me anywhere but China and I fully expected it when I went looking for it. And then I was pleasantly surprised to see this cheap tool, perfect for the purpose I bought it for, with the United States proudly written on the handle. This is of course the one I choose! But it shouldn't be. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice awl for less than $5, but it's not made in the USA. I expect Revane to change the picture soon, but until then don't be fooled.
