I took them out of the box and placed them neatly on a small table. Very good. The table fell over, the dishes were scattered. Four survived. The other two hit the metal legs of the chair. They didn't break, just shattered into large pieces. I've only used them once in edibles so far and it's been a pleasure to eat. I also used one to hold the screws etc for the wooden wagon I was building. Good stable size to see and get gear.
