I use it to secure loads in a pickup truck and boat when towing. I own a few different brands and one thing that seems to be common to all of them and everyone else I've looked at is that the hooks always seem to be a little off. Not always the best option for an application. But I found this to be easily remedied by replacing them when necessary. I'm not sure there should be anything other than the standard S hook, but they have these big plastic things that never inspire confidence that they're secure. They never seem to come loose but always look like they will. Otherwise as expected.
