It was a great investment! I used to have these foam slipcover holders. They were terrible. I had to move the sofa every time I spoke softly. But after I bought these hard plastic holders, it stopped. Now I just have to fix my case every other day or so. Just some information about my sofa. It has three separate pillows and the pillows are deep so they slide between the pillows and hold the suitcase very light. And my only real criticism is that after some time of use these guards start to warp and curl. They're easy enough to reconfigure, they're a bit of a hassle. Basically, I can highly recommend them. You saved me a lot of headaches.
