Interestingly the instructions are written for the North American market (measurements are in imperial units) but the screws provided conform to the stated JIS standard by a small point on the head of each screw. That means you should either use a JIS screwdriver or a flathead screwdriver, or be very careful with a Phillips screwdriver. You definitely *don't* want to walk into town with a head screwdriver. Due to the slight difference in design, JIS screws are easily damaged if the Phillips head is overtightened. In addition, these screws appear to be made of extremely soft steel. Also, about 1 out of 3 knobs had under-threaded depth in at least one of the holes, which sometimes even meant "short" screws. were too long. So you either had to screw the screw in gently enough to tighten it (which can cause the head to come loose if you don't use a JIS screwdriver), put a washer in front of the screw, or deal with a loose knob. I've encountered the same thread depth issue on the Ravante knobs, which also come with JIS screws.
