First let me say that I have had Epson printers since the days of line printers but they have become the most greedy printer company in the world. Bought these EZ ink cartridges on March 6th. They worked great as always. Around mid-May Epson decided they wanted to keep their monopoly on refilling ink (dear printers, don't worry about their greed), so hiding in their firmware update was an ink coding change and of course my 3/4 full EZ cartridges No longer work. Even more disgracefully, Epson doesn't seem to offer a pack of 4 XL cartridges (probably due to sticker shock), so your choice is a pack of black XL cartridges and 3 "standard" cartridges for $58, or if you want them all XL cartridges require you to purchase each color (and black) separately. The cost is $76 (remember the printer is $90). One day I bought them XL Black plus the standard color pack (thought they were all XL cartridges since the XL black cartridge is at the top of the pack) and I ran out of standard cartridges. very fast. When I contacted EZ Ink, they responded almost immediately and offered to refund or exchange the cartridges for free. I decided to get a replacement as I have used EZ ink in the past and their ink prints just as well as Epson. is customer service. I will remain a lifelong customer of EZ Ink. And I will continue to tell my family and friends about it. At this point I could say forget about you Epson, but one day they might give up their greedy ways. Don't hold your breath. Thanks to you (Epson) I haven't used my printer for 5 days. I will never allow a firmware update again, at least not until I know EZ Ink has updated the cartridges. I'm sure if EZ Ink can make a profit of $46 then so can you.
