For those who want to know.

Almost bought because of some bad reviews. But I always have to remind myself that I've never seen a product without bad reviews, no matter how basic or elementary it might be. So I got it anyway and am very happy with it. So I figured I could dispel the ridiculously bad reviews. Some say it sounds like bricks in a tin can. NOT CORRECT. It makes absolutely no noise when weight is put on it. And moves smoothly with just enough friction to keep it where you want it. Be careful not to let the data cables come out of the TV if you obviously turned it too far. Some said he was staggering. NOT CORRECT. I have a large 55 inch flat screen. And it seems solid, I don't see anything leaning or moving. Forced tilt can deflect it about 1/4 inch. Aside from the fact that the TV is 1.5 inches off the floor, that's a good thing. Be careful to center the weight of the TV. "Not" just center it on the base. Some TVs (like mine) have a slightly off-center (forward-facing) center of gravity at the base of the TV. Some say it's ugly. Not true. Something to see? You can only see its edge when the TV is on it. It is black and matches my base. Aside from the fact that there has to be a gap in between for it to spin, it's pretty thin for something you'd expect. hundred pounds to hundred pounds. So that solved my problem. And it has a pretty good gripping surface at the top. So it does the job. Pretty simple device. Enough said, end of discussion.
