As an audiophile, all my money goes into my stereos with tube amps, high-current SS amps, phono preamps, MC cards, etc. I' I I stand not really into home theater and don't need the biggest and best and since I don't care that much I've always used very average consumer gear - I don't need the latest and greatest - 5.1 suits me The amp is just a Yamaha RX-V375 - You get the point. My center channel was a Yamaha NS-C310BL and has always been the weakest link in my system. Even with the use of a speech amplifier, those soft and quiet conversations in Dolby Digital or DTS movies were always partially unintelligible. I decided finally for an upgrade to this center channel speaker after i got it from audio dealers the problem is solved! Day and night. You can hear "everything" - even a whisper. I no longer need to use an Booster Dialog Booster. r, I want to warn you about something - this center channel can seem a little too strong at the higher frequencies, ie. hissing, especially on "s". This happens with some TV shows, but if you're watching BluRay, it's not a problem. I can tune it to a TV show with the DSP sound field. Also, it can tame after breaking it a little. It really shines when watching movies with this hub, and for the money it just doesn't get any better.
