Review on SUNYAO Kitchen Construction Perfect Toddlers Nursery by Jill Flores

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible design - not durable and poor quality. waste of money. Very disappointed.

Updated review after 3 months of use: My now 17 month old uses it regularly. He loves to climb onto the countertop and be with us, so it's an item we use on a daily basis. Unfortunately, I stand by my original assessment that it is indeed fragile. If you look at the design, you can see that it's a bit heavy and the legs aren't strong enough to prevent it from tipping over. He staggered on his feet several times and I had to help him to keep from falling. Unfortunately I don't trust this equipment and that's the whole point - having a safe place to put the baby down while you cook/eat/paint/etc with him. The funny thing is that this item is supposed to be 18+ months old and my baby isn't even here yet, but he's too "big" or something (and he's a pretty average sized toddler) because he just isn't any kind of can support instability. And every toddler wobbles for a while, especially those who have only been walking for about 6 months. Looks like it's too late to get a refund which really sucks because we wasted money and I think we need to buy another one. There is absolutely no way we can continue to use this on our son as he continues to grow and now that we have another baby on the way I know it will not stand up to another child's use. What a disappointment. ---First Review: We bought this for my (big) 14 month old to use in our kitchen. My husband assembled it fairly quickly, although one of the pieces (actually the top front that is visible) ripped down the middle when he screwed it in. It's not broken, so let's just use it like that. The assembled item itself is not particularly stable on our tiled kitchen floor. I compare it to the plastic my mum bought for her kitchen, which seems much sturdier and more durable. I don't feel like I can get away with him yet and it may be a while before I can. If he leans too far in one direction, I'm afraid he'll fall. I would recommend spending a little more money for something more powerful.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
