I'm tired of toasters that toast unevenly and feel cheap. So I decided to try this toaster. The first thing that struck me about this toaster is how heavy it is. It's heavy and stays where you put it on the counter. The second thing I noticed compared to my cheap toaster was the size. It took a while to get used to as space is of the essence in the average American kitchen. See the image I've attached. However, the function of this toaster is definitely higher. To start toasting, gently push the lever down. You don't have to press it down for it to stick. This toaster does not get hot on the outside when in use. It toasts very evenly on both sides, whether I toast one slice or two. One tiny design flaw: the crumb tray doesn't slide out far enough to catch all the crumbs. So when you clean them, there may be some crumbs in the toaster itself, not just in the crumb tray. So overall, this toaster looks and works a lot better than the average toaster. Although it's a bit bigger and taller I think it's worth the space and certainly looks very stylish. So I give this toaster five stars and recommend it if the price doesn't put you off.
