Review on Enhanced BatteryMINDer 1510: Efficient 12V-1.5A Charger, Maintainer, Desulfator for Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, ATV, Boats, and RVs by David Silva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of my batteries died :(

I have several sealed lead acid batteries that I use for camping and emergency communications (ham radio). After my last charger died I did a lot of research and decided that BatteryMINDer despite some negative reviews was the best product for my purposes. Most of these devices might work well for their intended purpose but mine didn't. First I connected a known good 17 amp sealed lead acid battery 9.7v Measurement (I'm an electronics engineer and I use a calibrated Fluke benchtop multimeter) The MINDer battery showed "Battery timed out charging, soft start, bulk charge" and refused to attempt a charge I then connected a sealed cable to 20 amp-hours - acid battery with a voltage of 11.4 V. BaterryMINDer on "P AC connected, soft start charging, bulk charging and absorption charging. It stayed in that mode after 24 hours, but the battery was hot, bloated, and overcharged (reading 13.95V immediately after disconnecting from the charger). After the battery cooled it showed 11.4 volts and was clearly dead. I'm too worried to request a replacement so I've requested a refund instead and will be going back to the drawing board to find a better charger (with knowing that I might have to splurge a bit). more to get a device with good performance).
