The included software Pinnacle Studio 9 is very user friendly HOWEVER the quality of the final video in each of the 3 settings (low, medium, high quality, options you can choose to record videos) Dreadful. The A/D converter unit (hardware) is terrible. The video looks fine on a very small 360x480 screen, but when you enlarge it to normal size (full computer screen) it is very grainy, choppy, overall very poor quality, not suitable for burning to DVD or CD for archival or later Use. can be viewed on TV or computer. I even tried capturing a MiniDV video with Pinnacle 9 Studio software and it makes the capture grainy which shouldn't happen since MiniDV is digital. When I use software like Adobe Premiere, it's crystal clear. So the gripping capabilities of the software and the hardware it comes with are terrible. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
