The alarm only sounds above 200 ppm. You may be dead already.

The instructions state that the alarm will sound at 200ppm. If my 3 year old is sleeping in a fish house where CO levels are rising, she already has toxic and probably deadly levels of carbon monoxide. I don't understand how this item can be effective or safe.
