Bad decision on my part, bad design on their part

In hindsight I should have gone for the smaller model as I use it on a 28 inch TV. The MT4202 is said to work with a 26-inch 55 Plus, it should have come with an HDMI cable, which by the way it didn't. Since I have a 55 inch TV I figured it was worth the extra $3. I got it working and it's fine, but I would never try to use it on a large TV as the tilt arms are a poorly designed part of this mount. The wall mount went up slightly, but the small spirit level that came with it is inaccurate, so I used my own 2-foot spirit level. The included hardware was sufficient to attach the vertical brackets to the back of my TV, but it may not work in all scenarios. The problem arose when I tried to hang the TV on the wall mount and adjust the angle. The adjustment screws are of poor quality and difficult to turn as they are screwed into a thin sheet metal tab which can easily come loose, especially on a heavy TV. When hanging on the wall, the screws are extremely difficult to access unless you have a flex-blade screwdriver (luckily I have). The heads of these Philips slotted screws kept slipping off, which was even more annoying. You then need to check the TV level while adjusting the two UGH levers! So what's the good thing about the delivered level?

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Annoying
