Received this adapter today with my audio studio. I have a 2017 Mac Book Pro and wanted to be able to connect a second monitor and also use multiple USBs because I need to connect an audio interface. I've connected everything and tried all possible solutions, but with this adapter I can't use my audio interface as a stereo output. At first I thought these were my Sony MDR headphones, maybe I got a defective set. But I tested them elsewhere and they worked fine. When I have headphones plugged into anything other than the headphone jack, the sound only comes out of my left ear. If it is connected directly to the adapter, the sound comes from both ears. This is a serious problem as my audio interface doesn't work for input from one source and output from another. For $100 you'd think it would work. But that's not the case. I personally think the adapter can be without a headphone jack. Although everything else works for the adapter. But not for the reasons I need it.
